In the wake of another bankruptcy from BBS Autotechnik GmbH, we felt it was important to clarify that our position as a distributor for BBS Japan is unaffected as the two companies are not linked. BBS Japan will continue to manufacture and sell premium forged wheels.
BBS Japan and BBS GmbH do not have any capital relationships.
While BBS GmbH manufactures and sells cast wheels, BBS Japan manufactures and sells only forged wheels.
BBS Japan is not involved in either importation or distribution of cast wheels manufactured by BBS GmbH.
BBS Motorsports GmbH
BBS Motorsports GmbH, a racing wheel manufacturer based in Germany, is a wholly owned subsidiary of BBS Japan.
It is a different company from BBS GmbH.
Future Expectations / Possible Impact on BBS Japan
Since BBS Japan owns the trademark of the BBS brand for forged wheels, it is expecting minimum impact from the insolvency of BBS GmbH on its production, sales and racing activity involving BBS Forged wheels.
