Die Leistung von Kompaktwagen hat sich dank technischer Innovationen der einzelnen Automobilhersteller dramatisch verbessert. Die Reifenhaftung wurde erhöht, und auch die „mechanische Haftung“ wurde durch leistungsstärkere Federungssysteme verbessert. Diese Faktoren erhöhen die Maximalgeschwindigkeit von Kompaktwagen, und die Antriebskraft am Lenkrad ähnelt heute denen von Rennwagen der vorherigen Generation. Der TE37 in der 15-Zoll-Größe ist seit seiner Markteinführung im Jahr 1996 im Rennsport unterwegs. Um die Leistung des TE37 zu übertreffen, war der neue TE37 notwendig. Daher wurde alles neu konstruiert. Der [TE37 SONIC] wurde als neuer TE37 entwickelt, um der hohen Leistung von Kompaktwagen gerecht zu werden. Festigkeit und Steifigkeit werden durch breitere Speichen als zuvor und die Verlagerung der Montagefläche des Speichenendes zur Felge verstärkt.
Der TE37 SONIC übertrifft den TE37 und schafft eine neue Rennszene.

Produkte, die diese Tests bestehen, erhalten das JWL-T-Siegel (der Minister für Land, Infrastruktur, Verkehr und Tourismus beurteilt, ob die betreffenden Produkte die Bestimmungen in Artikel 9 des „Sicherheitsstandards für Straßenfahrzeuge“ erfüllen, indem er ihnen das Vorhandensein dieses Zertifizierungssiegels bestätigt).

VIA-Qualitätsprüfzeichen (VEHICLE INSPECTION ASSOCIATION)
Die Prüfung wird von der Japan Vehicle Inspection Association an das Japan Light Alloy Automotive Wheel Testing Council (JWTC Incorporation Foundation) vergeben, um sicherzustellen, dass die Produkte den nationalen JWL- bzw. JWL-T-Standards entsprechen. Da der nationale technische Standard eine Selbstzertifizierung erfordert, werden Produkte im Aftermarket von einer unabhängigen öffentlichen Prüfstelle geprüft. Produkte, deren Konformität mit dem Standard bestätigt wurde, werden beim JWTC registriert und mit dem VIA-Zertifizierungssiegel gekennzeichnet.

This standard is applicable to light alloy disc wheels for passenger vehicles (excluding vehicles with riding capacity of 11 people or greater, motorcycles, and motorcycles with a sidecar - * a scope for those exceptional cases are to be separately set). As per this standard, tests are conducted on manufacturers own responsibilities and products that have passed the tests are given a JWL seal mark.
JWL-T Standard Conformity Mark (JAPAN LIGHT ALLOY WHEEL TRUCK & BUS)
This standard is applicable to light alloy disc wheels for trucks and busses. As per this standard, tests are conducted on manufacturers own responsibilities and products that have passed the tests are given a JWL-T seal mark (the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism judges whether the subjected products meet the provisions in Article 9 of “Safety Standard for Road Transportation Vehicles” by confirming that they have these certification seal mark).

Testing is consigned from Japan Vehicle Inspection Association to Japan Light Alloy Automotive Wheel Testing Council (JWTC Incorporation Foundation) to see the subjected products meet the national standard of JWL or JWL-T. As the national engineering standard requests self-certification, products in the aftermarket are tested at a third party testing public institution. Products whose status of conformity to the standard is confirmed are registered at JWTC and have the VIA certification seal mark.
